PROGRAMS COORDINATOR – JOB VACANCY

Organization: People for Rural Livelihood Change Organization
Location: Gisage Office, Nyamira County
Contract: 12 months, renewable based on performance
Reports to: Director

Job Purpose:
To support and coordinate the implementation of livelihoods programs in Nyamira North Sub County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day implementation of livelihoods projects.

  • Work with county government departments and partner organizations.

  • Mobilize communities and facilitate farmer trainings, field days, demonstrations, and workshops.

  • Promote climate-smart agriculture and improved farming practices.

  • Support project planning, budgeting, reporting, and implementation.

  • Monitor project activities through regular field visits and beneficiary feedback.

  • Support data collection, beneficiary registration, tracking, and database management.

  • Work with the M&E team to collect and report project performance data.

  • Organize stakeholder meetings, forums, and market linkage events.

  • Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.

  • Supervise project teams, volunteers, and interns.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Sociology, Community Development, or Social Work.

  • 2–3 years’ experience coordinating NGO programs.

  • Experience working with partner organizations and managing the project cycle.

  • Computer and driving skills.

  • Strong written and spoken English.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.

  • Knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
